Two fields and you are done. Put the 10–14 digit reference number from your last printed bill into the box on CheckBills.net, pick the company that supplies you — MEPCO in Multan, LESCO in Lahore, FESCO in Faisalabad, and so on — and submit. The duplicate opens from the PITC portal in a new tab. Nothing to register for.

It is, with no asterisk. No fee, no account, no trial that expires. All you supply is a reference number and a working connection.

Eleven distribution companies, which is every DISCO on the PITC billing platform: MEPCO (Multan and south Punjab), LESCO (Lahore), FESCO (Faisalabad), IESCO (Islamabad and Rawalpindi), GEPCO (Gujranwala), PESCO (Peshawar and KPK), HESCO (Hyderabad and lower Sindh), SEPCO (Sukkur and upper Sindh), QESCO (Quetta and Balochistan), TESCO (the tribal districts) and HAZECO (Hazara and Abbottabad).

Look at the top of the sheet, under a heading that reads 'Reference No.' or 'Consumer Reference'. It runs 10 to 14 digits. The number belongs to the meter rather than to you, so it stays constant from month to month unless the meter or the account itself is changed.

It is the genuine document. The request goes to bill.pitc.com.pk — the same system your DISCO bills from — and whatever comes back is what you see. We add nothing and recalculate nothing. Check the figures against your own record before you pay, as you would with any bill.

No. The number is passed through to PITC so the bill can be drawn in your browser, and there is no database here holding it afterwards. If you use the recent-lookups list, that sits in your own browser's storage on your own device and never reaches us. Still, treat the number as account-sensitive — anyone holding it can view your bill.

No — this site shows bills, it does not take money. Once you have the amount and the due date, pay through JazzCash, Easypaisa, a bank app, an ATM or any authorised counter, quoting the same reference number.

Check the digits against the printed bill first, since a single wrong figure returns nothing. If they match, wait a minute and try again, or switch networks. PITC is a government portal and it does slow down around billing dates. A bill that loads but looks wrong — a reading you do not recognise, a charge you cannot place — is a matter for your DISCO, not for us.

Often, yes — a PITC duplicate or its PDF printout is widely accepted as proof of address or of payment history. But every institution sets its own rule, and some insist on a stamped original. Ask them before you make the trip.

Yes. The layout is built for a phone screen first, and the bill itself scales to fit rather than forcing you to pinch and pan. Nothing needs to be installed.

No, and no third-party tool can. K-Electric runs its own billing system entirely outside PITC, so there is no reference number here that would reach it. Karachi consumers need ke.com.pk and their 13-digit consumer number. KE customer care is 118 for emergencies, or 021-99008.

Go to ke.com.pk directly and enter the 13-digit consumer number printed on your KE bill. K-Electric — formerly KESC — supplies Karachi, Hub in Lasbela, and a few adjoining areas of Sindh and Balochistan. It is a separate utility from the eleven DISCOs and shares none of their infrastructure.

Use the gas checker at CheckBills.net/sngpl-bill-check and enter the 11-digit consumer number from your gas bill. The request goes to the official Sui Northern portal and returns the current bill. SNGPL is the supplier across Punjab and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

Geography, essentially. Sui Northern Gas Pipelines supplies Punjab and KPK; Sui Southern Gas Company supplies Sindh and Balochistan. Karachi is SSGC territory, and SSGC bills are checked on ssgc.com.pk rather than here.

Exactly 11 digits, printed on the gas bill and repeated in SNGPL's SMS alerts. Do not confuse it with an electricity reference number, which runs 10 to 14 digits and belongs to a different system entirely.

Fuel Price Adjustment. NEPRA recalculates it monthly against what it actually cost to generate the power — furnace oil, coal, imported LNG — and the difference lands on your bill as a surcharge or, less often, a credit. It is the usual explanation for a bill that jumps while your consumption sits still.

A stepped price ladder. The more units you draw in a month, the higher the rate charged on them. Domestic steps generally break at 50, 100, 200, 300, 500 and 700 units. Crossing a step raises the rate applied, so trimming consumption just below a boundary can cut the bill by more than the units saved would suggest.

A household drawing 200 units a month or fewer, which under NEPRA policy earns the subsidised — sometimes called lifeline — slab rates. The per-unit cost is materially below what an unprotected consumer pays, and status is assessed against your recent consumption history rather than granted permanently.

The Tariff Rationalisation Surcharge. Generation costs differ region to region, but the national tariff is uniform; TRS is the levy that closes that gap. It sits as its own line alongside GST and FPA and is not tied to how much you used.

If you are on a Time-of-Use meter, the expensive window is usually 7 PM to 11 PM, with everything outside it billed off-peak. Running the iron, the washing machine or heavy cooling outside that window is where TOU consumers find real savings. On a standard meter the time of day makes no difference at all.

The penalty for paying after the due date. Your bill prints two figures for this reason: the amount payable within the grace period, and the higher amount that applies once it lapses. Pay against the first and the second never arrives.

A small fixed monthly charge for the meter hardware itself, where it applies. It is unrelated to consumption — the same figure appears whether you used 40 units or 400.

In the JazzCash app, open Bill Payment, choose your distribution company, key in the reference number, check the amount matches your bill, and confirm. Without a smartphone, *786# gives you the same flow over USSD. Keep the transaction ID — it is your proof if the payment is ever queried.

Open Easypaisa, go to Pay Bills, select your DISCO, enter the reference number, verify the amount and pay. The *786# USSD route works the same way on a basic handset. Save the confirmation message until the payment shows on your next bill.

Registration happens on css.pitc.com.pk, not here. Enter your electricity reference number, complete your details, clear the OTP check and submit. Households already inside the protected threshold of 200 units a month are the ones this is aimed at. Our walkthrough is at /cross-subsidy-program.

Residential consumers averaging 200 units a month or less. NEPRA classes them protected and applies subsidised slab rates. Formal enrolment runs through the Cross Subsidy Scheme portal at css.pitc.com.pk.

Start with the helpline printed on your own bill — your DISCO owns the account and is the only party that can act on it. If that goes nowhere, escalate to PMDU or to NEPRA's consumer complaint portal. We cannot lodge a complaint for you; this is an independent viewing tool with no access to account records.

An arrangement under NEPRA rules that lets a rooftop solar system push surplus generation back onto the DISCO grid, offsetting what you import. It requires a licensed installation and a bidirectional meter fitted by your distribution company. Our solar guides are at /guides/solar.

Watch the slab boundary first — knowing roughly where your monthly units land tells you whether small cuts are worth real money. Beyond that: inverter cooling instead of conventional, LED lighting, heavy appliances moved off-peak if you are on a TOU meter, rooftop solar with net metering if the roof and the budget allow, and paying before the due date so you never hand over a late surcharge.
