Previous Reading on your electricity bill
In short. The meter's display value at the end of the last billing cycle — the starting point for this month's units calculation.
Where to find it on your bill
In the meter reading block, next to "Current Reading."
This figure should exactly match last month's "Current Reading" — if it doesn't, something was corrected or estimated between the two bills, which is worth investigating before assuming this month's units are accurate.

- Current Reading — The meter's display value at the end of this billing cycle. Current minus previous, times any multiplier, gives the units billed.
- Units Consumed — Current reading minus previous reading, in kWh — the single number that decides which tariff slab you're billed at.
