In short. The meter's display value at the end of this billing cycle. Current minus previous, times any multiplier, gives the units billed.
Where to find it on your bill
In the meter reading block, next to "Previous Reading."
If a meter reader couldn't access the property this cycle, the DISCO may print an estimated current reading instead of an actual one — usually flagged with a small "E" or "Estimated" marker near the figure. An estimated reading is corrected at the next actual reading, which is why a bill can occasionally show an unusually high or low jump the month after an estimate.
